A suburb example of this now rare straight six. Restored to the highest standards, whilst remaining a reliable and pleasant 60’s sports car for rally runs or Goodwood weekends!
A total of 8,484 TR250s were built for the U.S. market. Approximately 600 remain worlwide today. This car was imported from California to the U.K. in 2013 where she underwent an extensive restoration at a reputable specialist workshop.
The following work was undertaken:
- Rebuilt engine; Rebore, new pistons and bearings, TR5 ported and polished cylinder head, new valves and springs, fully rebuilt 1.75 SU carbs (replacing the U.S. spec Strombergs).
- Fully rebuilt 4 speed gearbox and prop shaft.
- Body shell stripped for bead blast, full preparation and 10 litres of Primrose Yellow.
- Rebuilt front and rear suspensions.
This TR was bought from a discerning U.K. collecter in June 2017 and brought back to France. This coincided with the creation of our Jensen-Healey specialist workshop in Brittany (RSR Classics), enabling us to check the previous restoration thoroughly and iron out all the remaining details.
The car as been driven to and from Le Mans Classic 2018 and she behaved impecabbly!
A sound investment in an iconic sixties classic.
